Democrats Rally Behind Brady
Brady Wins Nomination for Governor
Washington, D.C. – DGA Chair New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson issued the following statement congratulating Jerry Brady on winning the Democratic nomination for governor of Idaho:
“I congratulate Jerry Brady on his primary victory. His vision of working together to get Idaho back on the right track is exactly what the state needs. As governor, Jerry will work on the issues important to everyday Idahoans, not special interests. He will work to create a fair tax system; improve schools; help move our country closer to energy independence while protecting Idaho’s clean air, water and public lands; and govern with the honesty and integrity Idahoans deserve.”
Brady’s GOP opponent, Congressman Butch Otter, is in lockstep with Washington, D.C. Republicans, having voted with Tom Delay and Republican leaders 93 percent of the time. His voting record, as well as his ties to convicted felon Jack Abramoff, are further proof that he is out of touch with Idaho residents.
Jerry Brady, on the other hand, shares the values of Idaho families. He knows that children need a good education, health care should be affordable, and government must be fiscally responsible. He will put those values to work as Idaho’s next governor.
