New Govs to Hit the Ground Running
Govs.-elect Bev Perdue in North Carolina and Jack Markell in Delaware don’t take office until January, but they’re not slowing down as they prepare to tackle the challenges they face and take their states to the next level.
A former school teacher, Gov.-elect Perdue discussed her vision for education. She also talk about creating jobs in these challenging economic times. Watch the interview here.
Delaware online reports that Jack Markell is putting his transition team together. He named the leaders of his transition team and his Cabinet-secretary selection committee, team members he said will be responsible for advising him on policy issues and preparing him to “hit the ground running” on Jan. 20.
