Lynch, Guard Launch Operation Welcome Home

New Hampshire Gov. John Lynch announced plans for a coordinated state effort, Operation Welcome Home, to help smooth the transition for National Guard and Reserve members returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan by providing them with services – from providing child support, to aiding members of the Guard and Reserves to find jobs. “We owe these men and women a large debt. They have sacrificed to serve our country. Now it is our turn to be there for them,” Gov. Lynch said. “We know that they will face challenges in re-adjusting. As a state government, and as citizens, we should be there to help make the transition as smooth as possible for our National Guard members and their families.” Read more
